Just rediscovered this shoot from a recent Glamour magazine. The perfect way to wear black is with a side of ivory or mustard and plenty of leather...

Mischa gets her mojo back
OMG, when did Mischa Burton suddenly get her mojo back? Somehow she's returned to form, perfectly owning this season's ageing-aunt blouse with tailored shorts and wedges. However we suspect the magic ingredient is the amazing hair. Welcome back Mish...

Channeling Elaine Benes: The new maxi dress
Wait, did we just say we were loving short girlie dresses? Scratch that, we changed our minds. (We're allowed, that's fashion for you.) News just in says that Elaine Benes (Seinfeld) has been anointed style icon status for the coming season. What does that mean? It means long sleeved maxi dresses, lace-up brogue-type shoes, ankle socks, oversized blazers or biker jackets and big bouffy hair.
We're down with the long-sleeved droopy dresses and ankle socks combo. We noticed the look earlier in the year at various festivals and it's a newer take on the maxi dress that is a welcome change from 70s hippie. Frankly, we never want to see the word 'boho' again. The long-sleeved maxi lends itself to a variety of looks, so when you're done with the sock- and-brogues Elaine Benes look, you can try a tall stack-heeled boot or - if's a silk or chiffon dress - a pair of simple heels. Sarah Jessica Parker and Ashley Olsen would agree...

So yeah, we got the memo that minimalism is in but we're not quite done with our little-girl dresses. Especially when they look like this:

Stella McCartney AW10
How much do we love Stella McCartney's AW10 campaign? Let us count the ways...
1) Natalia Vodianova - queen of the wide-eyed, full-lipped stare
2) Grey flannel borrowed-from-dad (if your dad was super rich and super-cool obviously) coat - *hyperventilating*
3) Cartoon graffiti bubble writing by KAWS - a stroke of genius
That is all.

Mulberry Neely
Much as we love Alexa, the model/designer/TV presenter, we're not so mad about her namesame Mulberry bag. But the Mulberry Neely? Well that's a different story...
This squashy red envelope mesenger bag has a similar shape to the Alexa but fewer dangly bits. We love its discreet catch, chestnut leather handles and pebbly finish and apparently, so does everyone else. it's already sold out at Mywardrobe.com. Sigh...

Mini me
We do love a miniature accessory, especially if it's a practical one. These darling folding sunglasses are from Chloe and come in an equally darling case. Perfect for travelling light whether that's a trip to the high street, a festival, or a hand-luggage only trip Ibiza. Now we just need the high street version...

Return of the bag charm
A few years ago, bag charms were even bigger news that It bags. You just couldn't move for cutesy trinkets dangling from the straps of Mulberrys, Chloes and Fendis. Well guess what? The bag charm is making a comeback. If you don't believe us, check out Alexa Chung and her new Louis Vuitton Speedy.
As we all know, where Alexa leads, everyone follows...

House of Holland does haircare with Sebastian
Who did we bump into at the mammoth P & G beauty press day? Only our old teen-mag buddy Henry Holland. After a good old reminisce we got on the subject in hand. Hair. Henry's quest for world domination is rolling along at quite a pace. He has the fashion line, the hosiery line, the high street collab with Debenhams (next step: "homewares" he told us) and now the haircare line. On July 5th he launches his House of Holland range with pro haircare brand Sebastian who are the sponsors of his catwalk shows and created the primped ponytails for his AW10 show.
Alas, no picture of Henry on the can (he'll have to wait til he nabs the Elnett campaign from Cherly Cole) but the packaging does tie in nicely with his Aw10 collection. Yup, it's all about matching your hair products to your outfit now.

Lace for your face?
Sheesh, those designers don't miss a trick to splash their signature motifs here there and everywhere, do they? Burberry's new make-up range features - what else? - their iconic check imprinted in their make up palettes and lipsticks while Dolce & Gabbana's The Sicilian Lace bronzer is zhuzhed up with a surface pattern of lace. Well why have a plain palette when you can have pretty?

Bubbling under - disco shades
Burning question: could wearing sunnies in clubs ever be cool? Well, YES! according to Swedish style arbiters, Acne. The Scandi scenester brand showed mirrored disco shades at its menswear SS2011 show this weekend. "Sunglasses were always the most important disco accessory," claims creative director Jonny Johansson thinking back to his youth.
Steal a march on the trend now with these mirrored shades by Giant Vintage. The added bonus? You can check your lippie in them too.

George Craig and Emma Watson
So, Emma Watson has a new accessory, a rock star boyfriend! Tres predictable. But we do think she and boyfriend George Craig from One Night Only look very cute together in the video for Say You Don't Want It...
If George looks familiar, it's because he's been knocking about with some fashion types for a while now, most notably in the Burberry campaigns and on the catwalk.
Check him out in this backstage footage from Burberry's The Beat fragrance campaign. We spy Daisy Lowe's ex in here too...

Welcome to 'The Winge'
We love a snappy, made-up name and here's a corker - The 'Winge'. What is it? A wig-fringe of course! Crazy-coloured streaks and fringes have been major news on the catwalk and festival circuit but not everyone wants a permanently pink fringe. Hershesons offer the perfect solution with its clip-in 'winges'. These come in red, pink or purple or, if you prefer, 14 natural hair shades.
Available at £30 at all Hershesons blowdry bars and online at Hershesons.com from September.

Pat McGrath for Le Sportsac
We love make-up and we love Le Sportsac so of course we were destined to fall in love with Le Sportsac's latest mini-collab. It's a three-way linkup between Le Sportsac, Covergirl and make-up artist royalty Pat McGrath (the in-demand make-up artist matched the colours to Covergirl's Lashblast Length mascara).
There are two pieces - a make-up bag and a vanity case. The best bit is the price, a super-reasonable $28 for the make-up bag and $62 for the vanity case. Buy them here.

Latest news on the 'who's launching sunglasses' grapevine... The Olsens' Elizabeth & James line will be launching eyewear in November with a 14 piece collection. Er, isn't that a bit late? Whatever, we quite like them...
