House of Holland does haircare with Sebastian

Who did we bump into at the mammoth P & G beauty press day? Only our old teen-mag buddy Henry Holland. After a good old reminisce we got on the subject in hand. Hair. Henry's quest for world domination is rolling along at quite a pace. He has the fashion line, the hosiery line, the high street collab with Debenhams (next step: "homewares" he told us) and now the haircare line. On July 5th he launches his House of Holland range with pro haircare brand Sebastian who are the sponsors of his catwalk shows and created the primped ponytails for his AW10 show.

Alas, no picture of Henry on the can (he'll have to wait til he nabs the Elnett campaign from Cherly Cole) but the packaging does tie in nicely with his Aw10 collection. Yup, it's all about matching your hair products to your outfit now.

Welcome to 'The Winge'

We love a snappy, made-up name and here's a corker - The 'Winge'. What is it? A wig-fringe of course! Crazy-coloured streaks and fringes have been major news on the catwalk and festival circuit but not everyone wants a permanently pink fringe. Chanel's new nail

Sometimes we like fun nails and sometimes we like groomed and glossy. Chanel is ticking the groomed box next season with its new Paradoxal shade, a deep grey with a purply tint. Wear with a nude lip, sleek hair and Celine(ish) cape.

Petit Prada

Ah, how we adore a miniature beauty product. So useful, so cute, so fun! And this Prada handbag-sized bottle of its L'eau Ambree fragrance is crying out for an invitation into our Louis Vuitton bumbag (we wish). Perfect for the summer 'glamping' season, it even has a natty keyring to attach to belt loops while on the go.

Tropicana nails

Rumours, rumours. We hear that Chanel has a bold blue nail colour being whipped up in the labs. Intriguing. In the meantime, we are draw to YSL's new summer shades. We fancy Ultra Orange for our fingers and Ultra Violet for toes. You?

Topshop makeup gets interactive

Oh we do love a bit of fashion interactivity! As if playing with Topshop's new make-up range wasn't enough fun (we recommend the lip polishes), we're being treated to its online makeover tool. You can either upload your own photo and try out the make-up on your own face, or get creative with the official campaign shots.

As if that's not impressive enough, Topshop has also made its own make-up tutorials which you can watch on Youtube. We are mostly going to spend this week replaying the Statement Lip video. 'Scuse us while we pucker up...

Festival Face

It's May! And that means festival season is mere weeks away. *Cue unearthing of wellies and rain poncho from depths of wardrobe.* Make-up brands are getting in on the action good and proper with their cheap and chic face paints. Top Shop's range is imminent but for now, we're impressed with this W7 Neon Eyes 5-colour eyeshadow set. That's a lot of crazy colour options for £3.49. Go create!

It costs HOW much?

It's arrived! Tom Ford's much-hyped lipstick line has landed and pretty special it looks too. But wait, £35 for a lipstick? Would you pay that much?

Claire's nails it

We spotted these zingy new nail colours at Claire's Autumn/winter preview. No French manicures there, it's all about rainbow brights - we suggest a different hue for each nail. Claire's have even launched their own DIY version of Minx Nails. We need these now!

Chanel's new "IT" polish for autumn/winter '10...

Sophy Robson is fashion's manicurist de jour, who at the moment is working hard at all the hottest a/w shows. Lucky for us though, she's made time between mani's to keep us updated on all the 'it' new polish shades we'll want to be wearing for autumn. This piccie comes hot-off-the-press from Chanel's a/w show this morning. Jade Rose is actually quite summery for autumn but subtle yet pretty nails will work well with the OTT accessories that are going to be so hot for next season. We like!

We couldn't help thinking of Tim Walker's iconic dyed-fur cats picture when we saw Balenciaga's pastel-hued brows.

Must say, we've never had the urge to ink our skin, but when we heard that Chanel were launching a couture 'tattoo service' at Selfridges this month, our minds soon changed! Customers can choose from 55 tattoos - in the floral, bead and of course, bangle varieties. And this being Chanel, they've not just set up 'shop' at a regular beauty counter, but they've recreated the barn scene made famous at their spring/summer catwalk show....



We've booked to be 'inked' next week...exciting, so look out for a piccie then!

Disturbing new beauty trend: Teentoxing

SCREAM! We did when we read this article about a mum giving her 16 year old daughter botox!?! Gross. Teenagers should be taught to celebrate their individuality, not disguise it or change it by injecting poisons under their skin. So what if you're got a few lines on your forehead? So what if you've got a bigger-than-average nose or a few freckles on your cheeks? Surely it's better to stand out from the GHD'd, Fake-Baked crowd than just fade into the sea of plastic-looking people? Grrr!
